Each item will (should) look like the above example and contain the following:
artist: the name that the group is listed as.
Split recordings will have two groups listed. Various artists means that it's
a compilation of more than one group.
title: Usually the title on the record, unless
there isn't one (that we can figure out) and then we'll list it as "self
titled" or list one or two songs, usually on a 7".
stock# / format / Price: every item should have
a stock number, although it might not be unique to that item. Each item will
list a format, sometimes two or three formats. you have to tell us what format
that you want. The price is relevant for that format.
description: Almost every title has a description
(except a few that very well may defy description.) Every description will have
the record label at the end in parentheses. Some may say "aka," "AKA",
etc.... at the beginning of the description. We do that when an item may be
known under a different title, either because of common mispelling, an "official"
name change or federal disinformation. Some descriptions say that " CD
version is on Debjuanheir..." or similiarly, it's to let you know other
formats are also available on a seperate listing. We list imports, the country
that we get an item from, other than U.S., because some people care about that.
Sometimes the same title may be listed more than once, either because we get different formats from different labels, or we get the same format from different labels.
